Extension notes: Extension office welcomes intern

By: Rebecca Konopka
Carter County Extension Agent

We are excited to welcome our summer intern, Eliza Lavin, to our Extension family! Eliza will be working with all three Extension program areas from May 24th – August 13th. Her introduction is below, so please make sure to say “hi” when you see her out and about this summer.

“Hello everyone! My name is Eliza Lavin, I’m a student at Berea College with a dual degree in Agriculture & Natural Resources and Education. Originally from Versailles, Kentucky, I love to learn about nature and the outdoors, and spend my free time reading good books and doing all sorts of arts and crafts like knitting and calligraphy. My favorite food is spaghetti, and my favorite 4-H Camp activity is volleyball. In the past my family has raised pigs, chickens and pulled draft horses. I’m so excited to be interning at the Carter County extension office, and I look forward to meeting and working with as many of you as possible over the summer!”
