Alice “Kay” Stevens

1949-2021

Mrs. Alice “Kay” Stevens, age 71, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Community Hospice and Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was born June 15, 1949, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of Elwood Stevens and Dorothy Lyons.

Kay retired from Olive Hill Headstart as a Bus Driver and Smokey Valley Truck Stop. She loved canning, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Brent Stevens and Rebecca Stevens; two infant brothers; one sister, Wanda Johnston; and her maternal grandparents, Isom and Ada Barker Lyons.

Kay is survived by two sons, Rick Stevens (Regina) of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Phillip Stevens (Nada) of Pedro, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Derek, Chris, Nick, Jordan, Hunter, Harley, Kaylee, Nathaniel, Maci, Malloree, Mollie, Alexander; 18 great grandchildren; two great nieces to whom she raised as her own, Lauren Johnson of Murray, Kentucky, and Veronica Burchett of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and her life-long best friend Jody Dean of Olive Hill, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
