Charles Clifford Roe, age 70, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born January 8, 1953, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Jesse and Beulah Porter Roe.
Charles loved fiercely two things in life: God and his family. He was a devoted Christian man who would sit and talk for hours about the Bible and anything related to it. Family was everything to him, as he would have done almost anything for his girls and their own families. He also had a deep love for horses, westerns, and John Wayne. He enjoyed watching game shows with his wife and playing board games and cards on Saturday nights with his daughters. He was a great man and a friend to all with a big heart who will be missed by all who knew him. He entered the kingdom of Heaven with open arms and a smile on his face.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence “Fat” Roe, Beecher Roe, Wayne Roe; two sisters, Velma Conn and Bertha Perry.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of nearly 47 years, Kimberly Stevens Roe; two daughters, Jessica Roe (Melissa) Williams of Frankfort, Kentucky and Lindsey Roe (Nick) Raschella of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Josie Ruth Raschella; one brother, Tex (Karen) Roe of Grayson, Kentucky; two sisters, Mary Riley and Polly Reynolds both of Morehead, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Mike Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2023 until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Craig Brown, Doug Brown, Greg Reynolds, Dennis Roe, Jim Smith, John Smith and Darrell Thompson will serve as pallbearers.
Edward Porter, John Steagall and Troy Roark will serve as honorary pallbearers.
