David Cole Brown

Mr. David Cole Brown, age 75, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Carter County, Kentucky.

David was born Thursday, March 21, 1946, at Clark Hill, Kentucky to the late William and Betty Wallace Brown.

He was of the Baptist Faith. David was twice awarded the Purple Heart, while proudly serving his country in the United States Army and a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 138, Olive Hill, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five brothers, Glen A. Brown, Jackie Brown, Clell Brown, John “Hop” Brown and George Russell Brown. Two sisters Olive LaRue and Janie Murdock and one grandchild, Derrick Donavon Willis.

David is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marsh Lynn Suttles Brown of Olive Hill, Kentucky, two sons Tim (Tonya) Brown of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Jamie (Tina) Brown of Middletown, Ohio, two daughters, Brandi (John) Miller of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Shara (Derrick) Willis of Grayson, Kentucky. Seven grandchildren, Kyle Lawson, Derek Lawson, Madison Beam, Dawson Graber, Dara Mae Willis, Kylie Reece Brown and Daniel Willis. One great grandchild, Kennedi Grace Lawson. One brother, Gary (Christy) Brown of Olive Hill, Kentucky, two sisters, Maxine (Gene) Rhinehart of Dayton, Ohio and Nancy Sue Franklin of Sharon, Massachusetts.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Olive Hill Historical Society in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Mike Blankenship, officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery, Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit 12 Noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Brown, Kyle Lawson, Dawson Graber, Tim Brown, Derek Lawson and Cole Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Moe Crawford, Randy Arrington, Donnie Duncan, Oakley Noe, Marty Barrito, Timothy Garvey, Richard Bolin and Roger Deprmyer.
