Mrs. Edith “Susie” Mary Browning McCoy, age 70, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at her residence.
She was born May 6, 1950, in Logan County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late R.T. Cassell and Edith Sue Blevins Browning.
Susie was of the Christian faith, a mother to many, and she enjoyed cooking, farming, horseback riding, gardening, caregiving, breaking bread with family, laughing and spending time with her children and grandchildren who referred to her as Mamaw Susie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Bobby Earl McCoy; four brothers, Moss Browning, Billy Joe Browing, Wilbur Allen Browning, and George Browning; and five sisters, Alice Lucille Browning, Polly Emgean Browning, Mable Lou Browning, Tressie Mae Browning, and Frances Ann Browning.
Susie is survived by three sons, Michael Ray McCoy, Willie Gene McCoy, and Bobby Earl McCoy Jr., all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Felicia Dawn McCoy Bond (Kenny) of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Madison Brooke McCoy Glover (Corey) and Kennith Trey Bond, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Savannah Katelyn McCoy of Ashland, Kentucky; three brothers, James David Browning Sr., Bob Fred Browning, and John Thomas Browning; and one sister, Mary Eloise Browning. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Chris Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the McFerren Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
