Mitchell Gale Layne, age 60, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at his residence.
He was born Saturday, June 16, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio a son of the late Jack and Verna Gillum Layne.
Mitchell enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his grandsons.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Layne.
He is survived by one son, Zared Layne of Winchester, Kentucky; two daughters, Brooklyn Layne and Hayden Layne both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Declan Sagraves, Deacon Layne, Archer Adams, Gavin Layne; two brothers, Darrell (Stephanie) Layne, James Layne both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three sisters, Alyce (Bill) Maddix, Soni (Bruce) Conley both of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and Jackie Sawaya of Salt Lick, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164 with Brother David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Layne Family Cemetery on Bens Run in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 1 p.m. until the service hour, Tuesday October 25, 2022 and after 12 noon until the service hour Tuesday,
Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers.
