William Gregory “Greg” Brown

1968-2021

Mr. William Gregory “Greg” Brown, age 52, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at his residence.

He was born September 3, 1968, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of William Brown of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and the late Margie Ellis.

Greg was a lifelong musician, he played guitar and sang in many bands over the years. His rare talent made him something of a local legend among tri-state musicians. Greg’s legacy is the untold number of guitarists and musicians of all stripes that he inspired with his unparalleled ability and boundless passion for music. 

In addition to his father, Greg is survived by one son, London Brown of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Shandi Pritt of Cole Grove, Ohio and Heaven Brown of Pennsylvania; one grandson, Owen Hoffman; one brother, Chuck Daniels (Anita) of Ashland, Kentucky; four nephews, Travis Daniels, Kevin Duncan, Keith Duncan, and Kyle Duncan. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

A Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway us 60 Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, for Mr. William Gregory “Greg” Brown. 

Due to COVID-19 regulations, we ask that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
