Willliam Edmond Caplinger, Jr.


William Edmond “Bill” Caplinger Jr., age 54, of Grahn, Kentucky, entered into rest Saturday, August 5, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Friday, July 18, 1969, in Wilmington, Ohio, to the late William Edmond Sr. and Wanda Barnes Caplinger.

Bill was a member of the Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from SRG Global of Morehead, Kentucky. He was an avid musician, loved working in his garden and sharing his harvest with others. He enjoyed spending time with Smokey and Max, his beloved dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Bethany Ann; grandparents, Virgil and Doris Caplinger; mother and father in law, Willard and Georgia Barker; one brother in law, Gary Barker.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Ann Caplinger; one son Joshua (Madison) Caplinger of Richmond, Kentucky; one sister, Virginia Caplinger of Martinsville, Ohio; his step-mother, Joyce Caplinger of Wilmington, Ohio; one step-sister, Mary (Steve) Schmid; one stepbrother, David Lindsey; one brother in law, Caroll (Virgie) Barker, four sisters in law, Linda (Gary) Littleton, Cathy Barker, Bonnie Butler and Debbie Barker; a special friend, Christel Wissman, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will greatly miss him and cherish his memories.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church, Grahn, Kentucky with Brother Jimmy Barker and Brother David Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2023, and after 10 a.m., Thursday, August 10, 2023 until the service hour at Grahn Hill Freewill Baptist Church.

Jim Roe, Garrett Roe, Ethan Barker, Josh Bond, Josh Wicker, David Jones and Thomas Fountain will serve as pallbearers.
