Mrs. Lana Lou Bailey Offill, age 79, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 4, 2023, with her loving husband by her side.

She was born March 19, 1943, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Parish and Geneva Miller Bailey. On July 14th, 1962, she married her husband of 60 years, Donald Martin Offill. Their loving marriage would serve as an example of true love to all those that knew them in the 60 years to come. On May 10, 1963 their daughter, Terri Offill Bond was born. Although she only had one daughter herself, Lana was like a second mother to her many nieces, nephews, friends’ children, and grandchildren throughout her life as she loved and cared for so many along the way. She was a proud homemaker and nothing brought her more joy than cooking and feeding her loved ones. From her red velvet cakes to her perfect macaroni and cheese, every dish was made with love and care. She kept a warm and welcoming home that was always open to anyone.

Lana was an active member of Pleasant Valley Tabernacle for over 50 years where she taught Sunday School, participated in the ladies circle, praised the Lord with all her heart, and cooked for all occasions.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas Bailey and Larry Bailey.

Lana is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald Martin Offill; one daughter, Terri Bond and her husband, Allen of Lexington, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Wendi Owen and her husband Joey, Adam Bond and his wife, Brittany, Casey Bond, Eli Bond and Mia Bond; five great grandchildren, Wilson, Bailey, Gus, Poppy and Pierce; one brother, Charles Bailey of Grayson, Kentucky; two sisters, Sheila Felty of Grayson, Kentucky, Annette Hamm of Ashland, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Randy Binion officiating. Burial will follow in the Biggs Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, February, 9, 2023, until the service hour.
