Mr. Lawrence Kenneth Mayse, age 87, of Elliott County, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grayson, Kentucky.
He was born Friday, June 29, 1934, in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Henry and Lizey Mitchell Mayse.
Kenneth worked at Mabry’s Furniture for several years where he retired. He enjoyed visiting family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Andy Mayse, two half brothers, Nois Mayse and Marvin Mayse, one sister, Abbie Mitchell (Charlie) and one half sister Nora Mayse.
Kenneth is survived by three nieces, Faye Mitchell, Dolene Mitchell both of Elliott County, Kentucky, Betty Slone of Olive Hill, Kentucky and one nephew Ricky Mitchell of Elliott County, along with a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Gayle Price officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery on Mitchell Road in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit 3 p.m. until the service hour, Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
