Mrs. Montena Fern McClain, age 85 of Grayson, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 22, 1936, in Grayson, Kentucky to the late Guy Pennington and Madge “Elam” Pennington.
Montena was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grayson, Kentucky. She loved her flowers and gardening, as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Montena is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gary McClain.
Montena is survived by one son, Keith McClain and wife Terri of Grayson, Kentucky; one daughter, Robin Ratcliff and husband Tim of Willard, Kentucky; five grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy Ratcliff and wife Amanda of Russell, Kentucky, Faith Wolfenbarker and husband Trent of South Shore, Kentucky, Callie Mabry and husband Josh of Grayson, Kentucky, Tyler McClain and wife Ashley of Grayson, Kentucky, and Abel Ratcliff of Willard, Kentucky; 11 great grandchildren, along with a host of extended family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon, Friday, November 4, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Grayson, Kentucky with Brother Josh Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Carter County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Grayson, Kentucky.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
