Staff Report

An Olive Hill man who police believed had barricaded himself into his home last week, was taken into custody on Thursday. Police arrived at Joseph S. Greenhill’s home to serve a warrant last Monday, April 18, where at least one officer reported seeing him inside, leading to a stand off and what police believed was a barricade situation.
But as time passed with Greenhill failing to respond it became apparent that, if Greenhill had been in the house when police arrived, he wasn’t there while they tried to coax him out.
Greenhill was taken into custody three days later, however, when Kentucky State Police from Post 14 arrested him on a variety of charges, including: resisting arrest, first degree stalking, three counts of violating a Kentucky EPO/DVO, third degree terroristic threatening, two counts of intimidating a participant in the legal process, second degree burglary, and first degree criminal mischief.
Greenhill is currently housed in the Carter County Detention Center, pending further action on his case.
