Doris Jean Hoskins McCormick Patrick, age 87, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at her daughter’s residence in Grove City, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Tuesday, September 5, 1939, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Morris and Eula Arnett Hoskins.
Doris was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother that loved her family dearly, but loved her Lord Jesus Christ most of all!!! She loved going to Church, especially when her daughter and family were singing, going shopping, going out to eat, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 33 years, Tommy McCormick, and her second husband of 30 years, Bill Patrick; one brother John Hoskins.
Doris is survived by one son Kevin (Nicole) McCormick of Paintsville, Kentucky; one daughter, Teresa (Mike) Blanton, of Grove City, Ohio; three grandchildren, Justin (Omega) Blanton, Grace (Hunter) McCloud, Gavin McCormick; three great- grandchildren, Selby Blanton, Jaxon Blanton, Hutson McCloud; three sisters, Joyce LeMaster of Salyersville, Kentucky, Lois Gullett of Corydon, Indiana, Dixie Hunley of Catlettsburg, Kentucky along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
A Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 W US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164, with Brother Mike Blanton and Brother Keith Sturgill officiating. A graveside service and burial will follow at Hoskins Family Cemetery, 1662 Lakeville Road, Salyersville, Kentucky 41465 at 4:30 p.m.
Friends may visit from 12 Noon to the service hour, Wednesday September 16, 2026, at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
