What a great time to be living in Elliott County; seeing nature’s beauty, and getting ready for the festivals! Did you all attend the County Music Festival in Russel this weekend? If not, the next festival will be 7/12 & 13 located in Louisa. SOARs have a great line-up of artists to entertain y’all. Elliott County Tourism had a great time, sharing what Elliott County has to offer. Many people there expressed interest in the Laurel Gorge Heritage Center and all the activities and hikes.
Some of those upcoming events include:
June 8 is the annual Motorcycle Ride followed by the Hog Roast. Please contact Little Sandy Lodge for more information at 606-738 5515.
July 6 is our 4th of July celebration, and it’s going to be so much fun this year! We are planning on face painting, carnival games, Jericho the Clown doing balloon animals, Yanni the great stilt walker, and music by our own talented folks. We are still in need of food trucks. If you would like to participate, drop us a line.
We will also have our New T-shirts for sale at the low price of $20.00. This is our only fund-raising event. The Christmas Jubilee shirts are half off at $10.00
The 5th annual Elliott County Fiddlers Convention is coming up July 12 – 14 at the Little Sandy Lodge.
Minnie Adkins Day is also fast approaching.
Remember folks you can follow us on Facebook or visit our website at visitelliottcounty.com for more information.
We meet the second Monday of each month at 5 pm at the Laurel Gorge Heritage center – we’d love for you to join us.
Let’s keep turning ME into “WE can do!”
