Mr. Bobby D. Johnson age 82 of Grayson, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at his son’s residence in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
He was born October 5, 1939, in Leon, Kentucky a son of the late John Curtis and Bertha Roseberry Johnson.
Bobby attended Oak Grove Christian Church. He was retired from AK Steel. He was a member of United Steel Workers Union. Bobby enjoyed coaching little league baseball, fishing, farming, gardening, bird hunting, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Clarice Fankell Johnson, one infant brother, Benny Curtis Johnson, one sister, Sarah Elizabeth Johnson Lenert.
He is survived by two sons, Shawn Johnson of Morehead, Kentucky, Tim (Kim) Johnson of Olive Hill, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Johnathan Thomas “JT” Johnson, Madison Taylor Johnson, Emily Morgan Johnson, and Kelsey Jordan Johnson, two sisters, Bertie Lou Flaugher and Laura Ann Johnson Huffman both of Grayson, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Brother Donald Damron officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. until the service hour at Grayson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky for Mr. Bobby D. Johnson.
Johnathan “JT” Johnson, Eric Shuffleberger, Bob Flaugher, Tom Flaugher, Ike Flaugher, Butch Flaugher, and Pat Flaugher will serve as pallbearers.
