Ms. Deanna Alleen Jessie age 64, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born December 14, 1957 in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late Harold Emmans and Mildred Dorthy Cooper Jessie. She enjoyed researching genealogy, providing knowledge of healthcare resources, solitaire,
Deanna is survived by her daughter, Tessa Jessie of Olive Hill, KY; one brother, Randall Dean Jessie of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Delena Wilson of South Shore, Kentucky; one niece, Kaitlyn Jacquel Jones; one nephew, Christopher Justin (CJ) Wilson; one great nephew, Brier Kent Jones.
Deanna served a lifelong career in the Healthcare Field as an asset passionately sharing her knowledge of medical resources to assist patients and their families in receiving access to affordable care to improve their quality of life. She was appointed into the Kentucky Native American Heritage Commission by Governor Bevin, recognized as a Kentucky Colonel, served on the Kentucky Indigenous People Committee, and on the board of the Legal Aid of the Bluegrass. Deanna loved everyone she met and appreciated their presence in her life. She enjoyed researching genealogy, sharing her vast knowledge of her Cherokee family tree, solitaire, and spending time with her friends/ family.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Pastor Marcus McCleese and Brother Jerry Barker of the Masonic Lodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 until the 11 a.m service at Globe Funeral Chapel Kentucky, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Randall Jessie, Lincoln Theinhert, Tom Easterling, David Jessie, and Larry Cooper, will serve as pallbearers.
Russell Collins, Robert Theinert, Marcus McCleese, Jerry Barker, Ed Parker, and Kenny Cooper will serve as honorary pallbearers.
