Mrs. Edith Porter Fife, age 86, of West Liberty, Kentucky, formerly of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Kentucky River Medical Center, in Jackson, Kentucky.
She was born November 29, 1935, in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Roy and Edna Opal Mabry Porter.
Edith attended Providence Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Allie Jackson Fife. One daughter, Beverly Vick; one grandson, Trevor Lawson; five brothers, Burl Porter, Jackie D. Porter, Harold Porter, Hubert Duke Porter; and one sister, Virginia Swanigan. .
Edith is survived by two sons, Roger (Brenda) Fife of Grayson, Kentucky, David (Connie) Fife of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Arleenna (Terry) Prater of West Liberty, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Blake Lester, Allie Bishop, Destiny Wright, Jaclyn Pruitt; three great-grandchildren, Chase Maverick Pruitt, Maddox Wright, Meredith Wright; two brothers, Roy D. (Loretta) Porter of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Danny Ray (Tonda) Porter of Grayson, Kentucky; two sisters, Catherine Bradley of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Ruth Ann Brown of Ashland, Kentucky; one son in law Tim Vick of Portland, Tennessee, along with a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Garvin Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
