Eula Faye Stanley Stamper, age 78, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at St. Claire Healthcare Center in Morehead, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Saturday, April 28, 1945, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Chester and Molly McCleese Burchett Stanley.
Eula “Faye” Stamper could easily be described as a prayer warrior, caring and praying for every person she knew. She truly loved God and spoke his word with every opportunity. Her best times were spent surrounded by her family and loved ones sharing stories of her favorite memories. She never met a “stranger” and would befriend anyone, usually ending her conversations with a testimony of God. Faye loved traveling with her family, enjoying nothing more than rocking on the porch of a beach house and admiring the ocean.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Billy Jack Stamper; one grandson, Luke Tyler Moore; five brothers, Ray Stanley, Oval Stanley, Alfred Stanley, Tommy Stanley and Richard Franklin Stanley; two sisters, Lottie Bond and Evelyn Pregano.
Faye is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Moore and Jacqueline (Charles) Layne all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda) Moore, Cody (Chelsea) Moore, Jacob (Mandy) Moore, Charles Ray (Brittany) Layne II, Victoria (Matthew) Davidson, Billy Jack Layne and Faith Kimberly Layne; five great-grandchildren, Wren Layne, Kyah Layne, Sophia Davidson, Brody Moore and Emberly Moore; one brother, Arnold (Sue) Stanley of Perrysville, Ohio; one sister, Jewell (Butch) Wheeler of Olive Hill, Kentucky along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with John Schneider, Angela Knight officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchett Dailey Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m., Sunday, December 10, 2023, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Matthew Moore, Cody Moore, Jacob Moore, Charlie Layne, Allen Stamper, Terry Stamper, Buddy Stanley, Jordan Holbrook, Landon Holbrook, Mike Stanley and Jamie Logan will serve as pallbearers.
