Mr. Keith Douglas Bays, age 57, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021.
He was born August 16, 1964, in Mansfield, Ohio to Ernie and Glenna Pearl Henderson Bays of Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Keith was a retired teacher of 27 years for the Carter County Board of Education. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching UK Sports and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one grandson Kyle Holbrook.
In addition to his parents, Keith is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Esther Helderbrand Bays. Three daughters Anna (Jon) Holbrook, Tish Bays (Gabe Ison) and Karlie (James) Holbrook all of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Six grandchildren, Kyra, Kolten, Gracie, Hunter, Harper and Lucas. Two brothers, Kenneth (Dawn) Bays of Florida and Kevin Bays of Louisville, Kentucky. One sister, Kimberly (Tony) Sebastian of Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 US Hwy. 60 West, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother David Rayburn and Brother Chris Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Logan Cemetery on Rose Ridge, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2021 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Nathan Cooley, Daniel Cooley, Jon Holbrook, Martin Branham, Nate Shelton, Gabe Ison, Kris Becker and Jake Branham will serve as Pallbearers. David Cooley, Tony Sebastian, Mickey Brown and Jason Bays will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
