William Ray James, age 39, of Newport Tennessee, passed away, Monday, January 22, 2024.
He was born Wednesday, October 31, 1984 in Grayson, Kentucky a son of Timothy William James of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Barbara Ann Lyons James of Owingsville, Kentucky.
William loved hunting, fishing and hanging out with friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Angela Kay James.
William is survived by one son, Christian Ray of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one daughter, Haley LaRae of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Ava Mae and Mayleigh Jane; one brother, Billy Lee James of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Judy Ann “Charles” Salyers of Grahn, Kentucky.
Funeral services held will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Jimmy Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the James Cemetery, Grahn, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2024, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Timothy W. James, Billy Lee James, Bucky Meade, David Meade, Matthew Logan, Christian Rose, Charles Salyers, and Bill Brierley will serve as pallbearers.
