Weekly arrests report: 11/24/21

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center over the past week. This list includes local arrests only. It does not include federal inmates being housed at or transported through the detention center.

  • Curtis Johnson, 29, of Morehead, arrested by Grayson PD, for failure to appear, arrested and booked November 16.
  • Tony Easterling, 37, of Grayson, arrested by Department of Correction, on a charge of second degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), arrested and booked November 17.
  •  Destiny Gray, 22, of Olive Hill, self-surrender, drug court, arrested and booked November 18.
  • Jesse Stephens, 31, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Jail, drug court, arrested and booked November 18.
  • Robbie Jordan, 18, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of speeding 22 MPH over limit, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to maintain required insurance, arrested and booked November 19.
  • David Harlow, 43, of Grayson, self-surrender, weekender, arrested and booked November 19.
  • Amber Amburgey, 41, of Grayson, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on a charge of fourth degree assault (domestic violence) with minor injury, arrested and booked November 19.
  • Justin Porter, 38, of Kermit, arrested by Grayson PD, on a charge of fourth degree assault (dating violence) no visible injury, arrested and booked November 19.
  • John McGuire, 43, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on two counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked November 19.
  • Crystal Tackett, 35, of Olive Hill, arrested by Elliott County Sheriff, for non-payment of court costs, fees, or fines, arrested and booked November 20.
  • Billy Joe Binion, 39, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of second degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, no registration receipt, no registration plates, improper display of registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, giving officer false identifying information, and failure to appear, arrested and booked November 20.
  • Freddie Sexton, 58, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of first degree sodomy – victim less than 12-years-of-age, and first degree sexual abuse – victim less than 12-years-of-age, arrested and booked November 20.  
  • Avery Binion, 62, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, serving a warrant for parole violation, arrested and booked November 20.
  • Nile Gilbert, 42, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, for failure to appear, arrested and booked November 20.
  • Richard Tomlin, 33, of Olive Hill, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of speeding 20 MPH over limit, driving on DUI suspended license, no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, and failure to appear, arrested and booked November 21.
  • James Crockett, 52, of Sandy Hook, arrested by Kentucky State Police, serving a warrant for parole violation, arrested and booked November 21.
  • Donald Gumm, 49, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on a charge of theft by unlawful taking – automobile over $1,000 but under $10,000 in value, arrested and booked November 22.
  • James Sexton, 43, of Grayson, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on a charge of contempt of court – libel/slander – resistance to order, arrested and booked November 22.
  • Dakota Hall, 26, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on charges of failure to appear, and three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), arrested and booked November 22.

All of the charges listed are arrest charges only, and do not indicate an indictment or a conviction for the charges in question. All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Information is compiled from publicly available sources, but may not be comprehensive. Individuals who are released or post bail shortly after arrest may not be listed.
