Weekly arrests report: 6/1/22

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center over the past week. This list includes local arrests only. It does not include federal inmates being housed at or transported through the detention center.

  • James Liles, 36, of Olive Hill, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of first degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), carrying a concealed weapon, and first degree promoting contraband, arrested and booked May 23.
  • David Prince, 37, of Hitchins, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on a charge of violating a Kentucky emergency protective order/domestic violence order, arrested and booked May 23.
  • Elgin Gilbert, 37, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on a hold for court, arrested and booked May 23.
  • Troy Litteral, 34, of Ashland, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two grams or more of methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), third degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and two counts of second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, arrested and booked May 24.
  • Tara Colley, 28, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (two grams or more of methamphetamine), trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), and third degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), arrested and booked May 24.
  • George Mayle, 49, of Rush, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of theft by unlawful taking or disposition – more than $10,000 but less than $1,000,000, and first degree criminal mischief, arrested and booked May 24.
  • Laken Johnson, 29, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on a charge of flagrant non-support, arrested and booked May 24.
  • Woodrow Stacy, 66, of Morehead, arrested by Grayson PD, on a charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, arrested and booked May 24.
  • Travis Adkins, 26, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, charges unavailable, arrested and booked May 25.
  • John Jones, 45, of Catlettsburg, arrested by Greenup County Sheriff, for failure to appear, arrested and booked May 25.
  • Charles Ison, 57, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia, arrested and booked May 26.
  • James Lewis, 37, of Vanceburg, arrested agency withheld, on charges of bribery of a public servant, first degree promoting contraband, third degree rape – no force, and third degree sodomy, arrested and booked May 26.
  • Jeffrey Salyers, 52, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, for failure to appear, arrested and booked May 26.
  • Davion Beair, 26, of Olive Hill, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on charges of operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to maintain required insurance, failure to register transfer of motor vehicle, and disregarding a stop sign, arrested and booked May 26.
  • Sabra Gumm, 52, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, for failure to appear, arrested and booked May 26.
  • Kaitlynn Williams, 20, of Olive Hill, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on three counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked May 26.
  • Michael Ludwig, 37, of Grayson, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, for failure to appear, arrested and booked May 27.
  • Raymond Dearfield, 59, of Grayson, self-surrender, weekender, arrested and booked May 27.
  • Arie Callihan, 51, of Olive Hill, self-surrender, weekender, arrested and booked May 27.
  • Catherine Doss, 62, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police Ranger, as a person mentally ill and a danger to self or others, and on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct, third degree terroristic threatening, and fourth degree assault (domestic violence) three or more incidences within five years, arrested and booked May 27.
  • John Parsons, 27, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of no registration receipt, failure to maintain required insurance, failure to wear seat belts, reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, first degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of drug paraphernalia, vehicle a nuisance and/or noisy, and improper signal, arrested and booked May 29.  

All of the charges listed are arrest charges only, and do not indicate an indictment or a conviction for the charges in question. All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Information is compiled from publicly available sources, but may not be comprehensive. Individuals who are released or post bail shortly after arrest may not be listed.
