Hitchins Fire Department Hosts 11th Annual Christmas Parade

The Hitchins Fire Department hosted its Eleventh Annual Christmas parade on Saturday, December 6. This event has consistently been a significant occasion for the small community of Hitchins. Wesleyan Church traditionally distributes free goodies every year, while Stinson Church of Christ participated this year, also handing out free treats. Sandy Ratcliff organized a coat drive to provide free coats, hats and gloves. The parade is held annually on the first Saturday in December, commencing at Old 773 and concluding at 773 & Route 1. – Lettie Marcum
