Sheriff and FADE seize 81 grams of meth in bust

GRAYSON – Carter County Sheriff Jeff May reported the arrest and seizure of 81 grams of crystal meth by Carter County Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Evan Knipp and K9 Deputy Dustin Algood conducted a traffic stop and arrested Bobbie Stevens from Catlettsburg, KY.

Stevens was found to have crystal meth along with a loaded handgun that had been reported stolen from West Virginia. A Cadillac Escalade and U.S. currency was also seized.

The Carter County Deputy assigned to the FADE Drug Task Force assisted with the case.

This seizure intercepted over 800 individual doses of a crystal meth before it could be distributed in our communities.

Sheriff May would like to thank the citizens of Carter County for helping to combat this war on drugs.

To report illegal drug activity, citizens are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 606-474-5616 or FADE at 606-836-0442
