OLIVE HILL, KY: – Local restaurant The Burger Barn will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in mid-January 2025.
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on January 14th. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Shawn Spears and Tonya Judd about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.

“Everyone who has the chance to visit our restaurant should, because when you come in we do our very best to make you feel as if you are a part of our family,” manager Kayla Hanson notes. “[We] will go out of our way to do whatever we can to accommodate you with whatever you might need.”

The menu showcases an all-American array of not just burgers and sandwiches, but upscale choices of pasta, steaks, chicken and seafood dishes.

Popular menu items that may be featured on the episode include the USA burger, topped with lettuce, red onion, tomato and cheese; the farm-raised catfish dinner, five hand-battered pieces served with hush puppies, coleslaw, and seasoned fries; and the house sirloin, served with garlic-herb butter. The hibachi chicken dinner, with choice of rice or noodles, is also a nice alternative to traditional American food, Hanson says.
Giving back to the area is high on their priority list, and during the holidays The Burger Barn offers a free Thanksgiving and Christmas meal to anyone who would like it, drawing hundreds of patrons.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Tuesday January 14th from 9 am to noon EST. The press is invited to attend. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
