WGOH announces programming changes

WGOH 1370 AM and 100.9 FM has announced some impending changes to their programming, beginning with the announcement of their last episode of Kentucky Sports Radio. Kentucky Sports Radio will air their last show on WGOH on Friday, August 11. Beginning Monday, August 14, their Country Gold format will air from 10 a.m. – Noon, Monday through Friday, with local personalities and classic country. They will also be expanding their Afternoon Bluegrass show by an hour and a half. The show, which currently airs from 1:30 to 3:30 on weekday afternoons, will now air from 1:30 – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. “That’s more than three hours of great bluegrass gospel, which has been a staple on WGOH since 1959,” WGOH’s Mike Nelson noted. Nelson will continue to host the show, and continue to take requests. “Requests are always welcome!” he said. He added, “We are excited for the changes as we continue ‘the Tradition, WGOH.’”
