Mr. Chad David Sparks, age 47, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away, Monday evening, March 8, 2021, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born October 9, 1973, in Toledo, Ohio, a son of Charlene Gilliam Sparks of Olive Hill, Kentucky, and the late Paul Sparks.
Chad was of the Baptist faith and he worked at Marathon Oil in Ashland, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms and ginseng, spending time with his family and most of all spending time with his beloved dog, Thor.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Boggs Sparks; one son, Brody Sparks (Holly Tilsley) of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two sisters, Shawna Rice (Nathan) of Grayson, Kentucky, and Alicia Sparks of Olive Hill, Kentucky; his mother-in-law, Wilma Boggs of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and his sister-in-law, Marla Oney (David) of Olive Hill, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in the McFerren Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
