Chris Lydell Binion, age 65, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Tuesday, May 12, 1959, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a son of late Robert and Rena Cox Porter. He was blessed to have been raised by his maternal grandparents, Truman and Alberta Kiser, who considered him as their own.
Chris was a member of Henderson Branch Church and was always organizing Gospel Music events. He enjoyed watching UK Basketball, going out to eat and spending time with his family and friends.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Karen Mosier Binion; two daughters, Tia Brooke Collins (Kevin Queen), Amanda Garris all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren, Kaylee Collins, Aubree Garris; one brother, R.D. (Donella) Porter of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one sister, Theresa Hanshaw of Olive Hill, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Mick Nolen, Brother R.D. Porter and Brother Jason Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
