Mr. Claude Allen Valandingham, age 81 of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
Claude was born on Friday, September 13, 1940 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late Homer Valandingham and Madline Waugh Valandingham.
Claude loved fishing, mowing grass, quail hunting, watching UK basketball and spending time with his family and friends, especially his 2 granddaughters, Abigail and Emma.
In addition to his parents, Claude is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Linda Lou Sturgill Valandingham; three half brothers, Wayne Blevins, Jimmy Blevins, Clyde Blevins; one sister, Anna Maggard.
Claude is survived by two sons, Brent Allen Valandingham and wife Renee of Olive Hill, Kentucky and Chris Andrew Valandingham of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Abigail Valandingham and Emma Sawyer; one brother Ronnie Valandingham and wife Joyce of Grayson Kentucky; one sister, Janet Sawyers of Grayson, Kentucky along with a host of other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164 with Brother James Taylor and Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Biggs Hill Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022 and after 9 a.m. until the service hour Monday, September 12, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
