Dora Katherine Lambert Viars, age 76, of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at her residence.
She was born January 27, 1946 in Carter County, Kentucky a daughter of the late Dennis Lambert and Dolly Parker Viars.
Dora was of the Church of God faith, she loved being outdoors, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Junior Viars; one daughter, Michelle Viars; four brothers, Jim Lambert, Hagar Lambert, Bill Lambert and Little Jimmy Lambert; three sisters, Lillie Roe, Evelyn Stillwell, Annette Raye and Susie Lawhorn; one great-great grandson, Franklin Cole Sparks.
She is survived by five sons, Greg Viars of Grayson, Leslie Viars and Jeff Viars both of Olive Hill, Kentucky, George Viars of Georgia and Robert Viars of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two daughters, Kathy Wilburn of Grayson, Kentucky and Lisa Cheryl Holbrook of Olive Hill, Kentucky; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren, three brothers, Warren Lambert of Mansfield, Ohio, Oliver Lambert and Elize Lambert both of Vanceburg, Kentucky; one sister, Alma Dummitt of Garrison, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Cemetery on Smith Run in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 17277 West US Hwy 60 in Olive Hill, Kentucky and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 until the service hour at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
