Mr. Norman R. Hargett, age 83, of Carroll, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at South Bend Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana.
He was born Monday, May 20, 1940, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Ollie and Ines Jordan Hargett.
Norman was a steel mill worker and pulled travel trailers.
In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by three children, Tony Hargett, Joyce Ann Hargett, Norman Hargett Jr. and one brother, Bobby Gene Hargett.
Norman is survived by two sons, Jimmy (Marilyn) Hargett of Carroll, Ohio, Bill (Cindy) Hargett of Lancaster, Ohio; three daughters, Shelley Ray (Kent) Walker of Bristol, Indiana, Rhonda Hargett (Fiancé’ Frank) and Jill Danaher all of Elkhart, Indiana, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Hargett Cemetery on Greasy Creek in Carter County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
