Timothy Roscoe Maddix, age 65, of Vine Grove, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 8, 1959, in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of Jimmie Maddix of Olive Hill, Kentucky and the late Loretta Sloan Maddix.
Tim was a 1977 graduate of West Carter High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army, where he retired in 1998, with 21 years of service, as SFC with the rank of E-7 and was a member of Americal Legion Post 138 of Olive Hill, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, Florida vacations, cutting grass, staying home enjoying his wife’s cooking, relaxing in his recliner.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded by his first wife of 20 years, Margaret Ann Holloran Maddix; brother-in-law, Doug Dyer and sister-in-law, Chris Burks.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sharon Messer Maddix; one son, Allen (Andrea) Singleton of Hardin County, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Lindsey Renee Christiana Singleton, Ally Nicole Singleton; one brother, Vernon (Becky) Maddix of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two sisters, Debbie Maddix, Cathy Dyer both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Bob Swiney; three sisters-in-law, Lisa Uhl, Cindy Black, Pam Messer, one nephew, Matthew Maddix and one niece, Amanda Pennington, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother David Gee officiating. Burial will follow in the Maddix Family Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2025, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
