Trevedia “Trudy” Lynn Duncan, age 68, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. Claire Health Care in Morehead, Kentucky.
She was born May 16, 1953 in Boyd County, Kentucky to the late Billy Gene and Mary Willis James Duncan. She was a graduate of Morehead State University and a lifelong Special Education teacher before retiring. She also served as secretary of the Carter County Retired Teachers’ Association. She was member of the First Christian Church of Olive Hill. After her retirement she enjoyed reading, shopping and caring for her great niece and nephew.
She is survived by a sister, Sherri Duncan Daniels (John ) of Ashland, Kentucky and a niece Raychel Carroll (Keith Stevens) of Olive Hill, Kentucky; great nephew Sylas Stevens and great niece Scarlett Stevens of Olive Hill. Trudy is also survived by a cousin and dear friend Regina Myers of Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents Lovell and Ruby James as well as Clifford and Nell Duncan.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Brother Albert Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the James Family Cemetery on Lovell Road in Olive Hill, KY. Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky is caring for all arrangements.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 W Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
