Mr. Verlin Ray McGlone age 66 of Olive Hill, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at St Claire Healthcare in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born March 14, 1955 in Boyd County, Kentucky a son of the late Bernard McGlone and Mary Arizona Back McGlone Stamper.
Verlin was of the Christian Faith. He retired with 26 years of service from Kentucky State Parks. He loved going to Tennessee, walking, fishing, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three brothers, David McGlone, Michael McGlone and Spencer McGlone, one half sister, Emily Erwin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Beveralee Sparks McGlone; two sons, Scott (Rachel Whitt) McGlone of Morehead, Kentucky, Kevin (Kim) McGlone of Carter City, Kentucky; three daughters, Amanda (David) Willoughby of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Mary Sparks of Greenup, Kentucky, Jamie McGlone of Olive Hill, Kentucky; ten grandchildren, Tyler McGlone, Hailey Jenkins, April Willoughby, Blake McGlone, Logan Willoughby, Kelsey McGlone, Mason McGlone, Devin Willoughby, Lucas Knipp and Jade Knipp; four brothers, Junior (Beth) McGlone, Donald (Linda) McGlone all of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Ronnie McGlone of Carter City, Kentucky, Brian Keith (Missy) McGlone of Olive Hill, Kentucky; one half brother, Landon McGlone.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel with Brother Ronald Logan and Brother R.D. Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Alexis McGlone Cemetery on Jordan Fork.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel at 17277 US 60 West, Olive Hill, Kentucky and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 until the service hour.
Tyler McGlone, Blake McGlone, Mason McGlone, Logan Willoughby, Brian Robinson and Mikie Chapin will serve as pallbearers.
Devin Willoughby will serve as honorary pallbearer.
