Willie Earnest “Bill” Knipp, age 86, of Ewing, Kentucky, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, Kentucky, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born Thursday, August 26, 1937, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Arnold and Pearl Goodwin Knipp.
He enjoyed working, watching western’s on tv, sitting on the porch and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife of 30 years, Ruby Stamper Knipp; and one grandson Isaac Knipp.
Bill is survived by two sons, Robert (Jera Lee Sparks) and Ernie (Paula) Knipp, all of Ewing, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Christine Knipp (Matt Pollitt), Heather (Michael) Helphinstine, Jeremiah (Lori) Moyers, Laura Moyers, Madison Sparks; eight great grandchilden; two half brothers, Jeff Knipp of Soldier, Kentucky and Larry Knipp of Winchester, Kentucky; one sister, Louise Clay of Powhatan,Virginia; three half sisters, Teresa, Shelia, Lisa, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Greg Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Fultz Cemetery on Bethel Ridge in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Jeremiah Moyers, Frank Howard, Allen Miller, Brad Watson, Shae Henderson and Dan McCord will serve as pallbearers.
Ricky Lewis and Jason Lewis will serve as honorary pallbearers.
