What comes into our mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us. The true Christian ideal is not to be happy but to be holy. The Holy Spirit never enters a person and lets them live like the world. You can be sure of that. The Lord Jesus Christ is enough. I don’t want a watered-down Christianity. If you do not worship God seven days a week, you do not worship Him on one day a week. To desire revival and at the same time to neglect prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another.
People who are crucified with Christ have three distinct marks. They can never turn back. They no longer have plans of their own. Modern religion focuses upon filling churches with people. The true gospel emphasizes filling people with God.
The enemy doesn’t have to destroy your future if he can distract you from your present. He will convince you to compare your life, chase someone else’s calling, or keep waiting for a better opportunity while the one God has already placed in front of you goes unnoticed. But purpose isn’t found someday – it grows in the ground beneath your feet today. The conversation you are about to have, the person standing in front of you, the work in your hands, and the opportunity in this moment may be the very assignment God has entrusted to you. Stop waiting for a different season to become faithful.
Before you ever achieved anything God chose you. Before you ever proved anything, He called you. Your identity is not built on outcomes, applause, or progress. It is anchored in who He says you are. You are loved without condition. You are called with intention. You are equipped for this moment. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just take the next step in obedience. Even in the silence, He is working. Even in the waiting, He is preparing. Even in the pressure, He is forming something in you that could not be built any other way. You are going to make it. God is faithful.
Sometimes you are so focused on where you’re going that you forget where you are. The life you are rushing through is the life you once prayed for. The opportunities, the growth, the strength, the relationships, and the doors God has already opened were once the very things you were asking Him for. Don’t become so consumed with tomorrow that you miss the gift of today. Slow down, thank God for what is in front of you, and give this moment your full attention. One day you will look back and realize these were the days you had been praying would come. Your miracle and breakthrough are here. (Credit: Benjamin Lundquist)
