“Jesus lead me in the middle of this storm. Be my shelter and keep my spirit warm. When the waves are rising over me, be the peace that helps me breathe. I don’t need the storm to disappear; I just need to know that you are near. When I cannot find the way. Jesus hold me through today.” These words are from a song; God Meet Me in this Broken Place.
When your day feels heavy, just hold onto Jesus. God is with you always. Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us to be strong and courageous.
Difficult days do not mean God has abandoned you. His presence remains with you, through every season. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “And the Lord, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
God can give strength when you feel weak. His grace is sufficient for you. 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Prayer gives your heart a place to release its burdens. God cares about what concerns you. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Keep your eyes on Christ when circumstances feel overwhelming. He is the source of lasting hope. Hebrews 12:2 says, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Trials can produce perseverance and mature your faith. God can use difficult seasons for spiritual growth. James 1:2-4 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
You are not required to understand everything God is doing. Trust His wisdom even when the path is unclear. Isaiah 55:8-9 says, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”
There is still reason to hope today. God’s love remains steadfast forever. Psalm 136:26 says, “O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for His mercy endureth forever.”
Amen! So be it!
