ASHLAND – A day of free, healthy family fun returns to Camp Landing this October with the third Healthy Hoopla. Organized by UK King’s Daughters with many community partners, the Hoopla takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, at Camp Landing, 10699 U.S. Route 60, in Ashland, Ky.
Families can enjoy:
- Free health screenings
- Free $10 voucher for attractions and games, courtesy of Malibu Jack’s
- Free frozen custard vouchers for the first 200 attendees, courtesy of Whit’s Frozen Custard
- Free petting zoo, sponsored by UK HealthCare
- Free inflatables, sponsored by Camp Landing
- Free transportation to and from the event, with routes running every 30 minutes, courtesy of the City of Ashland Bus System
- The Smoothie Bike, a stationary bike with a blender that uses human power to blend ingredients for each rider’s own free, healthy smoothie
- Health education, including mental health, heart disease, cancer and more
- UK King’s Daughters K-9 team volunteers
