The Rattlesnake Ridge Bluegrass Music Center has not held a single bluegrass show since the pandemic shut events down last year. It’s now been more than 13 months since they’ve held a show. In that time, however, they’ve had to continue paying for utilities, insurance, taxes and upkeep while not taking in any of the income they used to make on concessions, t-shirt sales, raffles, and cakewalks – admissions go to artists. Gary Jones, long time emcee for the Rattlesnake Ridge bluegrass shows, announced on social media this week that he had made a small donation to the group’s treasurer to help cover costs until the venue can begin holding shows and events again.
If you are interested in helping with a donation, you can reach out to Rattlesnake Ridge Bluegrass Music Center on Facebook, or contact treasurer Patricia Eldridge directly. You may also mail a check made payable to the Rattlesnake Ridge Bluegrass Music Center, c/o Gary Jones, 14538 State Highway 986, Olive Hill, KY 41164.
