Tammy Jo Brown Fannin

Tammy Jo Brown Fannin, age 64, of Glade Hill, Virginia, formerly of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Wednesday, February 28, 1962, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George and Margret Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Tyler Preston; one granddaughter, Madeline Taylor Fannin; one sister, Gail Stapleton; two brothers-in-law, Carl Burge, Keith Walker and one sister-in-law, Jill Whitt.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Ronald G. Fannin; one son, Jason (Sheri) Fannin of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; one daughter, Sandy (Jerry) York of Ashland, Kentucky; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Colin Whitt of Ashland, Kentucky, Roy (Kathy) Whitt of Fernandina Beach, Florida; one sister, Joy (Donald) Stapleton of Ashland, Kentucky; sisters and brothers in-law, Janet Burge, Dorothy (Paul) Webb, Phyllis (David) Tabor, Shirlene (Vernon) Messer, Frances (Jim) Webb and Debbie Walker, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Bethel Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Pastor Paul Mahan officiating.

Terrell Webb, Dennie Webb, Mike Tabor, Jeremy Webb, Dwain Messer, Mark Messer, Josh Whitt, Shane Whitt, Bradley Walker, and Chuck Venditti will serve as pallbearers.

Kelly Pendry, John Davis, Tom Canterburg, Steve Parks, Charlie Tackett, Wes Hudson, Mike Anderson and John Shessley II, will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky is honored to serve the family of Tammy Jo Brown Fannin.
