FLEMINGSBURG – Two paving projects are under way on KY 773 and KY 7 in Carter County. Motorists should watch for one-lane, flagged traffic in the following areas during the next two weeks:
- KY 773 (Hitchins-Denton Road), from KY 1 east to Body Shop Road (milepoints 3.5 to 5.4). Paving starts Monday, Sept. 12, and should take about three days to complete. Expect short delays. Work includes base pavement repairs and a total of 1.9 miles of new blacktop.
- KY 7 (Carter City Road), from KY 9 (AA) north to KY 2 (milepoints 16.6 to 21.1). Paving should begin near the end of next week, around Friday, Sept. 16, and should take about five days to complete. Expect short delays. Work includes base pavement repairs and about 4.5 miles of new blacktop.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
