SR 773 is closed this morning, near the Lakewood neighborhood, due to a tractor trailer rollover accident.
State department of transportation crews and wreckers are currently on site. Crews from Yates Towing are assisting with vehicle removal, according to Carter County Emergency Management director Adam Stapleton, who provided more information on the wreck.
“Grayson Fire, Carter County EM, KSP (Kentucky State Police), and Carter County EMS responded to a commercial vehicle accident just before 5 a.m. this morning,” Stapleton wrote in an email response to the Times this morning. “The driver was not injured, but needed the assistance of Grayson Fire to get down out of his truck,” he continued. “KSP is investigating the accident, and Carter County EM attended to a small fuel leak and contained it.”
Cars that need to access the immediate area may detour along Lakewood Drive. Those traveling to Hitchins or Willard may want to consider using Rt 1.
