Weekly arrest report: 5/26/21

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center over the past week. This list includes local arrests only. It does not include federal inmates being housed at or transported through the detention center. 

  • Russell Binion, 63, of Olive Hill, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of methamphetamine, and two counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked on May 17. 
  • Richard Dunaway, 42, of Olive Hill, arrested by Carter County Sheriff’s Department, on probation violation for a felony offense, arrested and booked on May 20. 
  • Jerrod Knipp, 38, of Fort Thomas, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of improper start from a parked position, reckless driving, rear license not illuminated, fleeing and evading police – first degree in a vehicle, wanton endangerment – first degree – police officer, fleeing and evading police – second degree on foot, resisting arrest, menacing, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, possession of heroin, license not in possession, no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, arrested and booked on May 21.
  • David Haney, 41, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of speeding 23 MPH over limit, no tail lamps, failure to wear seat belts, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, wanton endangerment – first degree – police officer, resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear – three counts, probation violation for felony offenses – two counts, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, leaving the scene of an accident – failure to render aid or assistance, fleeing or evading police – first degree in a vehicle, wanton endangerment – first degree, possession of heroin, arrested May 23, booked May 24. 
  • Jason Johnson, 41, of Grayson, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on charges of public intoxication, arrested and booked on May 24. 
  • Amanda Harris, 40, of Grayson, arrested by Olive Hill PD, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – aggravating circumstances, arrested and booked on May 24. 
  • Vanessa Gollihue, 29, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of assault – fourth-degree (minor injury), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized use of register brand – livestock, arrested May 24, booked May 25. 

All of the charges listed are arrest charges only, and do not indicate an indictment or a conviction for the charges in question. All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

Information is compiled from publicly available sources, but may not be comprehensive. Individuals who are released or post bail shortly after arrest may not be listed.
