Weekly arrest report: 6/2/21

 The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Carter County Detention Center over the past week. This list includes local arrests only. It does not include federal inmates being housed at or transported through the detention center. 

  • Kevin Roe, 39, of Sandy Hook, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to wear seat belts, no registration receipt, failure to produce proof of insurance, arrested and booked on May 25. 
  • Bryan Sheeter, 38, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of first-degree strangulation, and failure to appear, arrested and booked on May 26. 
  • Madison Campbell, 20, of Grayson, self-surrender to Carter County Jail, for drug court, booked May 27. 
  • Billy Valandingham, 32, of Ashland, arrested by Carter County Sheriff, on a warrant for parole violation, arrested May 27, booked May 28. 
  • Donald Elam, 36, of Grayson, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of failure to appear, arrested and booked on May 29. 
  • Mark Jackson, 28, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of failure to appear, arrested and booked on May 29. 
  • Virgil McDavid, 44, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of driving on DUI suspended license – second offense, and failure to maintain required insurance, arrested and booked on May 30. 
  • Timothy Minton, 30, of Clearfield, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of no registration receipt, no registration plates, improper display of plates, failure to maintain insurance, failure to appear, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, arrested May 30, booked May 31.
  • Eric Hall, 22, of Richmond, arrested by Kentucky State Police, on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, failure to wear seat belts, operating on a suspended or revoked license, careless driving, improper use of signal, no registration receipt, no registration plates, first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine – first offense, excessive windshield/window tinting, arrested and booked on May 31. 
  • Charles Smith, 38, of Grayson, arrested by Grayson PD, on charges of first-degree possession of heroin – first offense, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, no registration receipt, no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, two counts of failure to appear, arrested and booked on May 31. 

All of the charges listed are arrest charges only, and do not indicate an indictment or a conviction for the charges in question. All subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
