Della Mae Bailey Knipp, age 73, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Elliott Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sandy Hook, Kentucky.
She was born Tuesday, June 17, 1952, in Carter County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Williard and Ruby Mosier Bailey.
Della enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Garland Knipp; five brothers, Marvin Bailey, Wayne Bailey, Larry Bailey, Estill Bailey, Sam Bailey; four sisters, Jearlean Bledsoe, Jewell Garvin, Carolyn Bailey and Irene Gail Adkins.
She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Knipp Prue of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Melinda Knipp of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Austin Caldwell, Jaydan Prue, Dalton Caldwell; one brother, Don (Sarah) Bailey of Louisa; two sisters, Janice (Gene) Stevens of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Joyce (Mark) Matthews of Grayson, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Eddie Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Bledsoe Cemetery on Rattlesnake Ridge.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026, until the service hour at the funeral home.
