Florence Burchett age 81, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at her residence, after a long illness.
She was born an identical twin, Saturday, November 27, 1943, a daughter of the late Edgar Paul and Beulah Spears Howell.
Florence and her husband were both members of First Baptist Church in Grayson, Kentucky. Florence was known to be very knowledgeable about antiques and was an avid antique collector of vintage furniture, art and glassware. Florence loved to travel and had many adventures. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchilden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Benny F. Burchett; one son, Jon Franklin Burchett; one brother, Donald Howell and two sisters, Deloris Rogers, Jean H. Sparks.
Florence is survived by three daughters, Teresa (Walter) Romans of Grayson, Kentucky, Kim Larson of Manhattan, New York, Rhonda Burchett of Greenup, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kayla (Cody) Justice, Samantha Romans, Katherine Romans and Jacob Burchett, all of Grayson, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren, Caleb Justice, Remington Wellman, Willow Wellman and one daughter-in-law, Annie Burchett, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 162 N. Court Street, Grayson, Kentucky, with Brother Roger Nolty and Brother Kyle Burchett officiating.
Friends may visit after 10:30, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, until the service hour at First Baptist Church in Grayson.
Cody Justice, Zach Burchett, Collin Howell, Curtis Howell, Chris Howell and Toby Roe will serve as pallbearers.
Jacob Burchett, Walter Romans, Todd Burchett, Dewain Burchett, J.R. Wellman and Graeme Kinder will serve as honorary pallbearers.
