Gregory Duane Nolen, age 60, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his residence.
He was born Wednesday, December 11, 1963, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Jack Wesley Nolen Sr. and Margie Othel Lawson Seagraves.
Greg was an avid fisherman, a troubadour, a self taught guitar player and a true entertainer and he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his favorite brother-in-law, Billy Joe Griggs.
He is survived by one daughter, Vicki Reese of Chillicothe, Ohio; two grandchildren, Oscar and Jasper; three brothers, Jack Nolen of Morehead, Kentucky, Scott Sloas of Ohio and Shane Sloas of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Regina Griggs of Olive Hill, Kentucky; special friends, Liz Hern and her son, Matthew along with many family and friends that will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2024, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Jason Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Griggs Family Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 11 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2024, until the service hour at Globe Funeral Chapel
Scott Sloas, Shane Sloas, Jack Nolen, Craig Paynter, Kalob Paynter and Trevor Duncan will serve as pallbearers.
Keith Burnett, Wendell Richardson and Brent Parsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
