John David Litz, age 75, of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Life Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
He was born Sunday, February 13, 1947 in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late William Litz and Barbara Chinn LeMaster.
John enjoyed fishing, listening to music, joking around and having a good time.
In addition to parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Zackery Litz.
John is survived by three sons, Dewey Litz of Morehead, Kentucky; Phillip Litz and his wife, Brianna of Soldier, Kentucky, Christopher Isaac of Soldier, Kentucky; one daughter, Denise Pelfrey and her husband, Steve of Olive Hill, Kentucky; two step-daughters, Brittany Jones and Angela McGlone both of Soldier, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Austin David Litz, Anthony Michael Litz, Madison Rose McGlone, Jasmine Litz; one brother, Guy “Hobert” Litz of Mansfield, Ohio; his step-father, Charles LeMaster of Mansfield, Ohio; one step-sister, Pam Oney of Mansfield, Ohio; and one very special friend, Lisa Cundiff of Morehead, Kentucky, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Leedy Cemetery, in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11:30, Wednesday, December 7, 2022 and until the service hour at the Globe Funeral Chapel, Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Anthony Litz, Christopher Isaac, Phillip Litz, Isaac Royse, Steve Pelfrey and Austin Litz will serve as pallbearers.
