Mrs. Helen Darlene Walker Middleton, age 76, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Thursday, June 27, 1946, in Carter County, Kentucky, to the late Ward and Jessie Roe Walker.
Helen attended the Providence Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed going out to eat, gardening, working puzzles and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son, Douglas Lee Middleton; five brothers, Jimmie Walker, Donald Walker, Erskine Walker, Elmer Walker, Phillip Walker; three sisters, Glenna Carroll, Sylvia Dinger and Infant Icie.
Helen is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Cledith Middleton; one daughter, Loretta Skaggs and her husband, Glen of Elliott County, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Danielle Owens and her husband, Jarrod, Shelbi Vanlandingham and her husband, Brad, Hannah Holbrook and her husband Blake and Gavin Skaggs; five great-grandchildren, Blake, Brinlynn, Samuel, Shaylee, Eli and Baby Holbrook on the way; two sisters, Althea Middleton and Mildred Sparks, both of Olive Hill, Kentucky along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky with Brother Ronnie Easterling, Brother Carmel Middleton and Brother Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Binion Cemetery in Elliott County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022 and until the service hour on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Globe Funeral Chapel Kentucky, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Carlos Middleton, L.D. Middleton, Marty Walker, Donnie Walker, Chris Glover, Keith Mabry, Mark Walker, Mikey Hatton will serve as pallbearers.
