Johnny Lambert

Johnny Lambert, age 76, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 18, 2026, at UK-St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Wednesday, July 27, 1949, in Elliott County, Kentucky, a son of the late Willie and Edna Hanshaw Lambert.

Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Lambert Monuments and Olive Hill Memorial Park for over 40 years. He loved working, spending time with his family, and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Lambert, Raymond Lambert, Russell Lambert; three sisters, Dazel Johnson, Mary Alice Whisman and Ottie Jane Lambert Mitchell.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marcella Middleton Lambert; two brothers, Bill Lambert of Elliott County, Lonnie (Barbara) Lambert of Morehead, Kentucky; one sister, Betty (Ralph) Hartsoe of Westland, Michigan; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Hwy 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Bobby Day and Brother Gary Sparks officiating. Entombment will follow in Olive Hill Memorial Park in Olive Hill, Kentucky.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2026, and after 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026, until the service hour at the funeral home.

Cody Reynolds, Bradyn Reynolds, Bill Lambert, Jerry Middleton, Doug Beecherl and Jim Seruga will serve as pallbearers.

Shawn Reynolds, Marty Walker, Lonnie Lambert, Harold Johnson, Rick Blevins, Phillip Whisman, Ralph Hartsoe, and Ralph Hartsoe Jr., will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Globe Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the family of Johnny Lambert.
